As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for controlling, maintaining, and further developing search engine optimization measures for cardmarket.com. With a strong understanding in Technical SEO, you will also work and consult with the Product Team to ensure that any platform changes comply with SEO requirements and best practices.
Your Responsibilities
  • Conceptualizing meta tags for new games, products, and pages and continuously checking and optimizing the meta tags for existing ones
  • Working with the Product Team as the in-house SEO consultant, ensuring that their projects are clear of any negative SEO impact or advising them of implementations required to maintain optimization
  • Managing existing web partnerships and evaluating new requests for collaboration
  • End-to-end managing of all SEO texts on the platform from assigning to uploading
  • Developing further SEO initiatives and identifying areas for improvement whether off-page, on-page, or technical
  • Regular monitoring of website performance and rankings, tracking progress over time
  • Collaborating with and supporting other Marketing channels by providing SEO input that can further contribute to a campaign’s success
  • Reporting to management and other departments in and out of Marketing
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related discipline
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in search engine optimization (with at least 1 year focus on technical SEO), ideally in e-commerce
  • Comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console
  • Familiarity with keyword research, redirect management, mobile/responsive optimizations
  • Experience with international and multilingual platforms
  • Awareness of developments in search engine algorithms, SERPs, URL structures, and other industry trends
  • Experience in using tools and plugins, such a Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Link Parser, Link Redirect Trace
  • Basic understanding of Paid Marketing (PPC/SEM)
  • Basic knowledge on HTML, familiarity with CSS, JavaScript, etc. is a plus
  • Effective self- and time-management
  • An affinity for trading card games is desirable
  • Fluent in English, especially in text composition and editing
  • Presence in Berlin is required
